This Technical Training Centre (TTC) is established in 1974, at the time of 2nd world war to train up the retired army personnel and their dependents. With the financial & technical assistance of SEATO the centre was shifted to Khulna in 1974.
Khulna Technical Training Center (KTTC) is one of the old and large technical training centres in the history of skills development in Bangladesh. This technical training centre is established to train the manpower for local and global market. Training is delivered in different employable trade as per the demand of local and overseas job market. in keeping with changing Technology Khulna TTC is capable to start any courses on emerging technology. Course curriculum of KTTC is always updated in line with demand. Innovation in all sectors is always considered in teaching-learning. This training centre is working in the with the vision 2021: Digital Bangladesh’ of the government. Technical Training Centre, Khulna always thinks for skills and quality of graduates. Since knowledge and skills are becoming the future currency, so Khulna TTC always try to do the best and the new things.
Technical Training Center, Khulna of south-west Bengal is one of the famous TTC among the old 11 TTCs it works in the directorate of Bureau or Manpower, Employment &Training under the Ministry of Expatriates welfare & overseas Employment of Government of the people’s Republic of Bangladesh.
Khulna Technical Training Center has a commitment to provide the best possible technical and vocational training & education with objectives to eliminate poverty, increase employment, development of socio- economic infrastructure and to develop skilled manpower.
Khulna Technical Training Center project was started in 1977 under IDA and ILO project, financed by world Bank. This center was planned and designed by Sthapati Samsad Ltd and the construction works was done by ABC construction Firm Ltd. Total construction cost was around19 crore taka and total land area around 13 acres. The construction work was completed towards the end of 1984 and the training program was started in January 1985 with 4 trades. At present there are 17 trades in this centre among them in14 trades the SSC vocational program is counted with the affiliation of Bangladesh Technical Education Board.
