Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College stands as a beacon of excellence in education and character development for young learners. Situated amidst the serene environs of Dhaka Cantonment Combined Military Hospital (CMW), Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College offers a tranquil and conducive learning environment, shielded from the hustle and bustle of the city and enveloped by nature's tranquility.

Established in 1939 as Unit School, the institution evolved under the stewardship of Dhaka Cantonment Board since 1952. Post-independence in 1971, the school was renamed Shaheed Rameez Uddin High School in honor of Shaheed Rameez Uddin, Bir Bikram, a martyr of the liberation war. In 1998, it was elevated to Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Higher Secondary School, marking a significant milestone in its journey. The institution further advanced to Shaheed Ramiz Uddin College in 2002 and presently operates as Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College.

Continuing its commitment to academic excellence, the college expanded its offerings to degree level programs from the academic year 2004-2005, offering BA, BSC, and BSS (Pass) courses. With approval from the National University, the college is set to introduce six subjects in the undergraduate (honors) curriculum, further enriching its academic offerings and empowering students for future success.
