Radda MCH-FP Centre (Mirpur-12 Branch)

In 1974, the Radda MCH-FP Centre was established as a beacon of hope for maternal and child health care. Its primary mission was to cater to the underserved and underprivileged residents of Mirpur, a vibrant area within Dhaka Metropolitan City.

For the first two decades, the Centre was operated, managed, and almost entirely funded by Radda Barnen, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to this cause. Their steadfast support was instrumental in the Centre’s growth and its ability to deliver outstanding services. In September 1994, a major transition occurred. Radda Barnen, with a vision of sustainability and continuous improvement of the Centre’s services, decided to hand over the reins. With the approval of the Ministry of Health, Government of Bangladesh, they transferred the entire responsibility of the Centre’s operation and management to a local organization, specifically established for this purpose, named the Radda MCH-FP Centre Trust.

The Radda MCH-FP Centre Trust, a non-governmental, non-profit organization, operates under the Trust Act of 1882 and is governed by a six-member Board. The Trust continues to uphold the Centre’s legacy, striving to enhance the health and well-being of the community it serves. Today, the Radda MCH-FP Centre stands as a symbol of dedicated service and community collaboration. It continues to evolve, driven by its mission to provide quality health care to those most in need. The Centre’s journey, from its modest beginnings to its current status, is a tale of resilience, dedication, and the unwavering pursuit of a healthier future.
