Ms. Fabia Alam is a well-known Counsellor. Currently she is  working as a  Counselor at Evercare Hospital Dhaka. She completed her BSc in Psychology and MSc in Clinical Psychology from University of Dhaka.

As part of the academic requirements, she took training on several areas, like psychotherapy, qualitative research, marriage counseling, trauma therapy, suicide prevention, drug addiction, psychosexual disorder, social skill training, anger management, neuropsychology and adult clinical skills training (covering clinical assessment of psychiatric disorder & chronic physical health problems, formulation of ABC & CBT model behavior therapy and cognitive behavior therapy); which further developed her skills and intellect in this field. As a result, in her professional career as a Counselor, she has successfully dealt with patients with different psychotic, neurotic and psychosocial disorders, like various types of stress or anxiety problems, depression, excessive anger, conversion disorder, epilepsy, panic attack, substance abuse, dementia, personality disorder, phobia, PTSD, PSD, OCD, schizophrenia, mood disorder, parenting problems, marital problems, family problems, adjustment problems, self-esteem problems, problems with lack of confidence, childhood disorders (covering peer adjustment problems, ADHD, ODD, conduct disorders, intellectual disability and reactive attachment disorder). Before joining Evercare Hospital Dhaka, she worked at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). She has conducted research based on psychological disorder. She has participated in several health related conferences.
