Grameen Jano Unnayan Sangstha (GJUS) is actively engaged in the implementation of the Livestock Rearing and Management Project (LRMP) in collaboration with Palli Karma Sohayok Foundation (PKSF), generously funded by the Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation (SDC).

The primary objective of the LRMP is to enhance the livestock rearing skills of farmers by providing comprehensive extension services. This includes reducing animal morbidity and mortality risks while minimizing financial uncertainties for farmers. The project aims to foster greater interest and capacity among farmers to invest in the livestock sector, thereby contributing to sustainable agricultural development.

Key components of the LRMP include providing technical knowledge to farmers to improve animal husbandry practices, capacity building for institutions involved in livestock sector development, and facilitating access to loans for project members. Additionally, the project encompasses a range of support measures such as training programs, vaccination and deworming subsidies, medical care provisions, and assistance with cremation and other benefits for deceased animals.Through the LRMP, GJUS endeavors to empower farmers with the necessary skills, resources, and support systems to enhance their livelihoods through sustainable livestock management practices.
