Named in recognition of the generous contribution of the Green Children Foundation, USA, which donated half a million US Dollars, Grameen Green Children (GC) Eye Hospital is equipped with modern equipment and cutting-edge technologies to diagnose and treat eye-related ailments. The hospital's team comprises skilled ophthalmologists, ophthalmic assistants, and trained staff, all of whom have received specialized training from prestigious institutions such as the Aravind Eye Hospital and Post Graduate Institute of Ophthalmology in India. Notably, ophthalmologists are proficient in performing cataract surgery using advanced Phaco emulsification machines.
Supported by SEVA Foundation, USA, and Aravind Eye Care System, India, GHS prioritizes staff training to maintain high standards of care. Despite its advanced facilities, the hospital maintains an affordable registration fee of only BDT 100 ($0.92), which covers the cost of eye examination and prescription. Additionally, the hospital offers a range of services tailored to different segments of the community, allowing patients to select packages based on their financial capabilities.
