Grameen Eye Hospital, Satkhira, is staffed by well-trained and experienced ophthalmologists, ophthalmic assistants, and hospital staff, all of whom have received training from the esteemed Aravind Eye Care System in India. Equipped with modern technology and advanced equipment, the hospital is dedicated to diagnosing and treating various eye conditions. Its doctors specialize in performing cataract surgery using state-of-the-art Phaco emulsification machines.
Supported by the SEVA Foundation, USA, and the Aravind Eye Care System, India, GHS has ensured the provision of high-quality eye care services at Grameen Eye Hospital, Satkhira. The hospital offers a range of services, including eye examinations, consultations with ophthalmologists, investigations for eye diseases, cataract surgery, as well as other eye surgeries such as Orbit & Oculoplasty, and Cornea treatments.
In addition to hospital-based services, GHS conducts community outreach programs, providing eye examinations, prescriptions, and diagnostic services to patients in rural areas. Patients identified for surgery are brought to the hospital, where procedures are performed in the operation theater, and they are safely returned to their localities after surgery.
Despite its advanced facilities, the hospital maintains an affordable registration fee of only BDT 100 ($0.92), covering the cost of eye examinations and prescriptions.
