How I Wish to Be Your Moon!
No matter how mesmerizing the moon is, it’s unreachable,
No matter how much you adore a moonlit night, eventually you need to say goodbye.
Even the moon has scars, but it doesn’t stop you from gazing at it.
Why do you admire the moon so dearly when you know it’s not yours to hold?
Why do your eyes light up so merrily when moonlight envelopes the sky?
Why do you relate your melancholy to that forlorn shadow of the moon?
Why did you write poems for the moon when you struggle to find words for me?
Why did you cry a river for the moon when it won’t even glance at it?
Why are you going so far to impress the moon when I’m already here?
Is that moon truly more prettier than me?
How I wish to be loved by you, just the way you love the moon!
How I wish to be your moon!
But I am here, burning just as bright—won’t you look at me?
