O mirror, I whisper
Mirror, mirror,
not of glass but of spirit,
Where do you hide?
In the eyes of a stranger,
the pages of a book,
the notes of a song,
or the gentle river waves?
I long for your gaze,
for the clarity you offer,
a view of who I am
without the world's distortion.
I search for you in quiet moments,
in the stillness between thoughts,
hoping for a reflection
that blinds me with the truth.
Show me not just my face,
but the essence within,
the whispers of my heart,
the shadows of my fears,
the flickers of my dreams.
Mirror, mirror,
guide me to that place.
Show not a mere reflection,
but an unveiling,
where I can see myself
truly, wholly, deeply,
beyond the surface,
into the heart of who I am.
