We Walked under the Autumn Sky
Winners of the week based on Editors' Preferences (5th August 2021)
Musky grass, murmuring leaves,
Chilly wind and pillowy clouds...
Holding hands on a remote highway
We walked under the Autumn sky.
Childhood, Red balloon, Cotton candy
They all escaped. Leaving us behind.
Corporate heals, buzzing cubicles,
Cramping A/C and phony elites...
You run to me as the schedule dies
And I will seek refuge in your eyes.
Youth, love letters, cheesy pasta
They all stayed. Helping us unwind.
