The Centre for Kidney Diseases and Urology Hospital (CKDU) is a specialized healthcare institution dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of nephrology and urology disorders. Since its inception in 2014, CKDU has been at the forefront of providing exceptional care for patients with kidney and urinary tract conditions.

CKDU offers comprehensive services, including dialysis and renal transplantation for patients with renal failure at highly affordable rates. The Chief Transplant Surgeon performs surgeries five times a week without any honorarium, ensuring that the total expenditure for a renal transplant at CKDU is significantly lower than at corporate hospitals in Bangladesh and neighboring countries. The total cost for a renal transplant at CKDU, covering operation charges, medicine costs, and KT ICU charges, is 2,10,000 BDT. By reducing the transplant expenses, CKDU estimates it saves patients 10-15 lakh BDT.

In 2021, CKDU performed 184 transplants, achieving a remarkable first-year graft survival rate of 96%. Despite the high success rate, a few patients experienced graft rejection. Each year, over 100 renal failure patients in Bangladesh die due to the inability to afford treatment. CKDU is committed to addressing this issue by offering affordable care and expanding its services.

CKDU's range of treatments includes managing stone diseases, performing minimally invasive kidney and ureter operations, treating bladder and ureteric cancer, addressing congenital anomalies of the kidney, renal tract, and testis, reconstructive urethral surgery, and treating various nephrology disorders and urinary incontinence.
