This maternity and child hospital at the Lalkuthi in Mirpur is newly set up by the family planning directorate. Its outdoor services had started with limited capacity and staff hadn’t been recruited. Now, to meet the coronavirus crisis, the health directorate had appointed 17 physicians and 27 nurses for the hospital.There was no ICU at this 200-bed hospital and no initiative was being taken in include one.
