Bangladesh Army University of Science & Technology (BAUST) SAIDPUR, the pioneer Technical University of Armed Forces, started its academic journey on February 15, 2015. The visionary leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, was to establish a Technical University of Armed Forces. BAUST is located at Saidpur Cantonment. Saidpur is a city of Nilphamari district in the Rangpur Division of Bangladesh. The town becomes a vital communication hub for adjoining primary district headquarters. The academic Program of BAUST Saidpur was initially started through the Faculty of Engineering, comprised of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and Department of Mechanical Engineering. BAUST Saidpur has well-equipped classrooms, a Wi-Fi campus with multimedia and web camera, and Laboratories with modern equipment. The medium of instruction for all programs is English. All academic programs of BAUST Saidpur are approved by the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education (MoE). BAUST Saidpur has other facilities such as Medical Centre, Fitness Centre, Cyber Café, Broadband internet facilities, Library, and Students Accommodation (Male & Female).
