Additionally, the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council has granted permission for the opening of the MD (Paediatrics) Course under USTC at Bangabandhu Memorial Hospital, further enhancing its academic offerings. The hospital has quickly gained acceptance within the community, with a growing number of admitted patients and out-patients seeking medical care.

In response to the increasing demand for healthcare services, the USTC authority has initiated the construction of a 500-bed Bangabandhu Memorial Hospital Unit-II.
