The Civil Engineers Ltd., established in 1969 by two alumni of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), initially concentrated on construction projects, earning numerous national awards. However, with the burgeoning clothing industry in the mid-1980s, Engr. Mosharraf Hussain and Engr. Atiqur Rahman capitalized on the opportunity to diversify into the garment sector. Today, Standard Group has established itself as one of the leading garment manufacturers in Bangladesh, setting a benchmark for excellence and innovation in the industry.
