Ramu Upazila situated at the southernmost point of Bangladesh, near to the longest beach in the world. It’s surrounded by beautiful scenic views of mountains and the sea. It has the history of oldest human habitation and once it was a center place for king of the Arakan and Mog. Endless natural beauty, ancient Buddha antique, Ashoka temple, tunnel of king Kana, high bank and other natural resources as well as the diversity livelihood of indigenous people are remarkable of this Upazila. Unfortunately, the literacy rate is very poor than that of other parts of Bangladesh. literacy 26%; male 29.6%, female 22.3%.As a part of social responsibility, leadership of Ramu Cantonment decided to establish a school to join the fight against illiteracy. 23 September 2015 was a golden day for Ramu, when Major General Ataul Hakim Sarwar Hasan, SBP, SGP, ndc, afwc, psc, PhD, GOC 10 Infantry Division and Madam Farzan Hasan laid the foundation stone of Ramu Cantonment English School and College. Few other enthusiastic and generous people quickly joined hands and started the academic curricula of the school on 16th January 2016, turning it into the first ever English version school of cox's Bazar.“Future Begins Here” the motto of RCESC influenced us to enlighten the torch of education among the people of the country especially Ramu. In 2016, RCESC instigated with 7 classes (Play to Class 4), 11 dignified teachers, some non-teaching staffs and 285 students. In 2017, three new classes from Class 5 to Class 7 were initiated. In 2018, Class 8 and 9 were introduced. Now, it received the permission of Higher Secondary from ministry Education and Education Board Chattagram. Now, there are 31 faculty members and around 520 students. We have marvelous school campus with spacious ground for energetic youngsters and have a highly motivated teaching staff to provide excellent and scientifically equipped modern education. Our managing committee is selflessly dedicated and our respected guardians are warmheartedly cooperative. This school is walking towards some specific purposes; where a child will learn academic, moral, social and physical development and thus become a good human being and good citizen of Bangladesh.
