Rajendrapur Cantonment Public School and College (RCPSC) stands as a prestigious educational institution in the Gazipur District, nestled in the tranquil surroundings of Rajendrapur Cantonment. Located along the Dhaka-Kapasia road and bordered by lush woods, RCPSC is overseen by the Director of the Bangladesh Army Education Corps. The foundation stone was laid on April 16, 1995, by Lt. Gen. Abu Saleh Mohammad Nasim BBPSC, with infrastructure funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The school began operations in 2001, providing primary, lower-secondary, and secondary education primarily for the children of Army personnel stationed in Rajendrapur Cantonment. Managed by the Bangladesh Army, the institution's first governing body was chaired by Brig. Gen. Golam Jakaria, who, along with other high-ranking army officers, introduced the higher secondary curriculum in 2003. Although it had always been known as Rajendrapur Cantonment Public School and College, it wasn't until this time that the institution offered a complete educational journey from primary through higher secondary levels. In 2009, RCPSC launched an English Version section within the campus. Since then, the school has undergone significant development. A well-stocked library was established in 2010, and a student canteen named "Bhawalika" was opened in 2011. The same year saw the construction of a spacious, air-conditioned conference room. A mosque was added to the campus in 2013, and a front desk office was built in 2015. Additional improvements included a Guardian Shed adjacent to the college boundary and a children's park, both completed by 2016.RCPSC fosters an education-friendly environment, with the multimedia system introduced in classrooms in 2015, now fully implemented in the college section. This integration has transformed the learning experience, providing new educational opportunities for students. To enhance security, all classrooms and the entire campus are monitored via CCTV. RCPSC has a consistent track record of excellent board exam results. Today, it is one of the largest institutions in the Gazipur District, with 3,000 students and 99 teachers across both the school and college sections. Rajendrapur Cantonment Public School and College continues to evolve, striving for educational excellence and a safe, secure environment for all.
