Prof. (Dr.) Mohammed Fazlul Kabir is a Medicine Specialist. He is currently working in Evercare Hospital Dhaka as Coordinator & Consultant in Nuclear Medicine. Dr.Kabir completed his MBBS and became a NM Fellow of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), USA. He has rich experience in Nuclear Medicine and has served at a number of reputed institutions since 1982. He was the Head of Nuclear Medicine Centre at Chittagong, Sylhet and Mymensingh, and SMO at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Ultrasound, BSMMU. He then served as Director of the Nuclear Medicine Centre at Chittagong for 11 years, and later as Director of the Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Ultrasound, BSMMU.Dr. Fazlul Kabir has special interest in Nuclear Cardiology and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) in Nuclear Oncology.  He has received much training in Nuclear Medicine from prestigious institutes in Australia, USA, UK, Pakistan, Italy, Germany, and Japan. He was involved in the first multicentric clinical trial of Tc-99m-MIBI, in comparison with Thallium-201, for detection of myocardial ischemia. He presented a paper on this trial entitled “Comparative Diagnostic Imaging for Coronary Artery Disease using Tc-99m RP-30A (Cardiolite)” at Missouri Valley Chapter of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, USA and won the “Richard E. Peterson Young Investigator’s Award”.
