Probin Nibash, a senior living facility located in Agargaon, Dhaka, is home to 45 elderly individuals who eagerly wait for visits from their families during Eid. Unfortunately, the majority of them spend the holiday in isolation as only a handful of families come to visit.  The socially registered institution has the capacity to accommodate 50 residents, with a prayer room, library, lounge, and other amenities, including emergency ambulances. To cover living expenses, each resident is required to contribute Tk 5,000, in addition to Tk 2,800 to 3,000 for meals. The Bangladesh Association for the Aged and Institute of Geriatric Medicine (BAAIGM) manages the facility, also known as Probin Hitoishi Sangha, and provides the support staff to care for the residents.  Afsar Ahmed, who has been living at Probin Nibash since his wife's passing two years ago, is one of the residents who chose to move here due to the lack of sustainable support from relatives. On Eid day, only three out of 45 residents had visitors.
