The journey of The Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College commenced in the academic year 1999-2000, driven by the vision and inspiration of notable figures such as the daughter of the father of the Nation, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the then Health Minister Sheikh Fazlul Karim Salim MP, Chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Sheikh Kabir Hossain, and dedicated doctors and staff. Under the leadership of Professor Dr. Md. Maniruzzaman Bhuiyan, the collective efforts of all involved were instrumental in establishing the College.As a project of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), The Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College operates under the guidance of a Governing Body comprising representatives from the sponsor organization BDRCS, Dhaka University, and the Government of Bangladesh.
