Dr. Md Shamimul Islam is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Brac Business School of Brac University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Md Shamimul Islam is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Brac Business School of Brac University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Before joining Brac University he worked as Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Business of ASA University Bangladesh, Bangladesh. Before that, he served World University of Bangladesh, Bangladesh as a lecturer in the Faculty of Business. He has received the doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in supply chain management from the School of Management, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia in 2019. The School of Management has been enlisted as one of the top 1000 best business schools in 154 countries voted by 1000 Deans in 20016. USM is ranked #142 in Top Global universities by QS in 2022. Dr. Islam has been awarded the USM Fellowship Scheme for his PhD program. Besides that, he has received the “Sanggar Sanjung” (hall of fame) , a prestigious award by USM in 2019 for journal publication. He has published several papers in top tier journals, namely the Journal of Cleaner Production, Resource Conservation and Recycling, and International Journal of Logistics Research and Applications. His research interests are multidisciplinary such as green and sustainable supply chain management, corporate sustainability, environmental logistics, technology management, technology adoption and addiction, and business ethics. Fuzzy importance and performance analysis (FIPA), Fuzzy decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (Fuzzy DEMATEL), structural equation modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS, AMOS, WrapPLS, NVivo are among the data analysis techniques that he has used in his research. He has obtained both of his Master and Bachelor degrees from the Faculty of Business, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
