About Us

The state-owned TV network in Bangladesh is Bangladesh Television, also known by the acronym BTV. On 25 December 1964, it began broadcasting as Pakistan Television in what was then East Pakistan. After independence in 1971, it was renamed Bangladesh Television. Broadcasts launched in full color in 1980.
