Witnessing the project's success, the Government allocated approximately 500,000 hectares of coastal areas to the Ministry of Environment and Forests for afforestation, designating them as reserved forests under the Forest Act.nBy 2016, over 200,000 hectares of mangroves had been planted, marking one of the world's largest coastal afforestation endeavors.
